Immediately south of Duck Creek, the Strawberry Loop has nine trails beginning with the number 5, with the majority rated as “easiest” and some as “most difficult.” You can visit ice caves on this portion of the trail system along the main trail, No. 5, behind the Duck Creek Visitor Center. The small, one-chambered cave has icicles and snow inside year-round. For a more challenging ride, tackle the Zion View Connector, No. 57, for a panoramic view of the distant national park.
Although the trail is one of the more challenging on this loop, the views are worth it. Duck Creek Campground can be accessed from this loop, and makes a central location to explore the three loops of the trail system that run through Duck Creek.
